It was in the year 1992 that he started a small 5-bedded hospital which has now blossomed into the multi-specialty 150-bedded Kasturba Hospital in the heart of the city.
Varadaraja Institute of Nursing Sciences which is a Unit of Varadaraja Charitable Trust, was established in the year 2003 with the sole aim to impart quality in Nursing Education. It is approved by INC New Delhi & affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University for Health Sciences Offering a full time graduation programme in B.Sc. - Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc Nursing, M.Sc. - Nursing and G.N.M Nursing (Diploma).

With his dedicated set of qualified faculty, he has steered the institute to achieve excellent academic results year after year.
